Project goal
The main objective of the project is to enhance the system of the existing business incubators in the Rijeka urban agglomeration in order to improve the competitiveness of its IT and creative technologies sector and support the development of competitive products and services. The project fosters the growth of new and existing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaging in the IT and creative industries in the urban area of Rijeka.

Specific objectives of the project
To create infrastructure for business incubation and provide framework for development and networking of companies in targeted sectors
Train the first generation of incubator users and ensure the sustainability of incubator’s activities

Project description
The project has provided for the reconstruction and furnishing of more than 2,700 m² of space in the power station of the city’s former paper factory. Beside office and co-working spaces, entrepreneurs are offered training courses and mentoring programs to boost their innovation potential. The support to entrepreneurs is provided through activities described below, organized in three main thematic modules: HubIT – IT, artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), HubBOT – computer game development, and HubART – photography and video production.

Project value: EUR 6,147,184 (HRK 46,315,956)
