Project goal<\/b>
\nThe main objective of the project is to enhance the system of the existing business incubators in the Rijeka urban agglomeration in order to improve the competitiveness of its IT and creative technologies sector and support the development of competitive products and services. The project fosters the growth of new and existing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaging in the IT and creative industries in the urban area of Rijeka.<\/p>

Specific objectives of the project<\/b>
To create infrastructure for business incubation and provide framework for development and networking of companies in targeted sectors
Train the first generation of incubator users and ensure the sustainability of incubator\u2019s activities<\/p>

Project description<\/b>
The project has provided for the reconstruction and furnishing of more than 2,700 m\u00b2 of space in the power station of the city\u2019s former paper factory. Beside office and co-working spaces, entrepreneurs are offered training courses and mentoring programs to boost their innovation potential. The support to entrepreneurs is provided through activities described below, organized in three main thematic modules: HubIT \u2013 IT, artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), HubBOT \u2013 computer game development, and HubART \u2013 photography and video production.<\/p>

The City\u2019s participation co-financed by the Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds: 368.519 (HRK 2,776,603)<\/p>

The City\u2019s own participation in the project financing: EUR 1,602,122 (HRK 12,071,185)<\/p>
